The General Insurance Introductory course is designed primarily for people who have just entered or recently entered the insurance industry and is aimed at those wishing to broaden their insurance accounting knowledge. The two day course covers seven topics with presenters selected from within the industry, or the professional firms supporting it, for their knowledge in the areas covered. The format allows for considerable interaction amongst the participants and the presenters, with a facilitator present at each session to ensure the overall smooth running of the course.

The modules that are included in the course are:
- Overview of the general insurance process and the role of accounting
- Premium accounting in general insurance
- Introduction to reinsurance issues
- Introduction to investment
- Claims accounting in general insurance
- Statutory reporting in the insurance industry
- Management reporting in the insurance industry.
The cost includes a comprehensive manual plus morning and afternoon tea and lunch each day. A certificate of completion is provided to participants who attend the two days.
Confirmation of Bookings: Payment must be recieved in full one week prior to course commencing. Course confirmation will be emailed within 2 weeks of course start date.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds will be granted less 10% cancellation fee on notification in writing no less than 7 days prior to course start date. There will be no refund for cancellations less than 7 days prior to the event. Within 7 days a substitution will be accepted, but no transfers will be granted.
